We are proud to share that JAZ Hotel Group has been recognized with a prestigious Sustainability Award, presented at Sharm El Sheikh, in the presence of:
🔹 H.E. Dr. Yasmine Fouad, Minister of Environment
🔹 Major General Khaled Mubarak Bakri, Governor of South Sinai
🔹 Mr. Alessandro Fracassetti, UNDP Resident Representative in Egypt
This recognition celebrates our ongoing commitment to sustainable tourism and highlights a major milestone: our initiative to eliminate single-use plastic bottles across all JAZ Hotel Group properties, a bold step toward reducing plastic waste in Egypt’s hospitality sector.
The award was received by Mr. Ibrahim Halil, Area General Manager for Sinai, on behalf of our CEO & Chairman, Mr. Alaa Akel, and the entire Group.
Earlier that day, we also took part in the inauguration of the Al-Gharqana Village Development Project in Nabq Protected Area, a collaborative achievement with UNDP featuring eco-friendly housing, renewable energy, and community-based tourism that supports both people and planet.
This day marked more than just recognition, it reinforced our role as a leader in green hospitality, our dedication to environmental conservation, and our promise to continue creating positive impact for Egypt and beyond.
