Jaz Go Green
Jaz Go Green encompasses all the environmental initiatives and sustainability practices of the group. We organize awareness campaigns to educate our younger generations and we organize many green initiatives throughout each year. All our hotels are Green Star certified. Green Star is recognized by the GSTC, which is the international accreditation body for sustainable tourism certifications.
World veganuary
January 31st ,2023
On the day of the event, 31st of January, we encourage our Executive Chef’s to increase the amount of plant-based foods on the buffets and create appealing fresh displays of plant-based foods. If we can put on display as much as possible from our organic gardens this will be great. Also, for the a la carte restaurants we can add a plant-based daily special and encourage Guests to choose this one.
JAZ HELPING HANDS
Jaz Helping Hands is the pillar spearheading community outreach and volunteerism in our local communities. Our group actively works hand in hand with neighbouring communities by organising various activities to support our mission. To name a few; we organize regular blood donation drives, help in refurbishing local schools and orphanages, make clothes donation, showcase appreciation towards local art and culture and support community development.
World Wildlife Day
March 3rd , 2023
With the support of marketing department to start an awareness campaign on all available social media channels a week prior – raise your voice and spread the word on social media! Issue a daily tip on the wildlife and vulnerable species near you and around the world. In Jazy Kids Club you may raise awareness by teaching the kids about our endangered species and showing relevant movies in the kids’ cinema. Use the drawing books by ECO EGYPT and Jazy Kids Club
Global Recycling Day
March 18th , 2023
The animation team and kids club teams are playing the main role play in this event to create awareness amongst our young Guests, they can make a kid’s show that can be displayed on the evening kids show, or they can use some reusable materials to create new shapes for the kids and even they can give them certificates of their achievement they can use the following link to print some coloring posters to give them for the kids to color it.
World Water Day

As the theme of this year’s event is the importance of groundwater, a land clean-up campaign and underwater clean-up campaign should be conducted for each destination (Sharm El Sheikh, Hurghada, Marsa Alam, Alexandria & North Coast, and Cairo) preferably with an NGO and local bodies and communities with nice photos for the event activities.

Earth Hour

It’s a given, but the easiest thing we can do during Earth Hour is to switch off the lights and electricity at 8.30 pm. It’s the perfect opportunity to slow down from the busy bustle of life and reflect on what we can do to help our planet. Making a candle-lit dinner. Volunteer in an environmental campaign with one of the Egyptian NGOs or donate to a local environmental organization. Reduce waste around the hotels through a clean-up day with Guest participation. Under Water Clean-up Day World Ocean Day

Each hotel or destination organizes together with our diving centers under-water clean-up events in front of their beach and jetties. Guest and qualified staff can participate in this event and after the event, the participating Guests can get a certificate of achievement from the hotel in a small cocktail party or send them a digital certificate and ask them to share a photo or post about the experience on their social media pages. We can also share the names of the participating Guests on our social media in the shape of a thank-you letter by our marketing team.
World Day To Combat Desertification & Drought

With the support of the marketing department to start an awareness campaign on all available social media channels with the theme “It’s Time To Plant A Tree”. Each hotel can arrange a tree-planting event

World Clean-Up Day
September 16th , 2023
Each destination should arrange for a collective Clean-Up Day event with with our partners in HEPCA and ECO EGYPT and invite your Guests to take part in it this event. Hurghada destination will participate with HEPCA in the clean-up campaign, marketing team to share the event photos in all social media channels. We should consider inviting our younger generations to participate for awareness!
Energy Efficiency Day
October 5th , 2023
Encourage your Guests to reduce their electricity consumption this day by choosing not to make up their rooms and change their linen and give them incentives (sustainable gifts) if they did. Make a candle dinner. Set up some candles a cozy, intimate atmosphere around the pool or in the restaurant. Switch off air conditioning in public areas and outlets and use natural ventilation and fresh air.
World Kindness Day
November 13th , 2023
Just because someone carries it well, doesn’t mean it is not heavy. Always try to be a little kinder than is necessary. Arrange for a collective visit to an orphan’s center or a public hospital or even a
public school, give the children some presents, toys or even some meals, take photos with them. Advertise for this event in your hotel and encourage your Guests to participate with donations if they wish. Animation team to arrange for a kindness day challenge among the kids to perform 5 acts of kindness and give a prize for the winner. Share the photos on the social media
World Soil Day
December 5th , 2023
Our land and its soil are gifted to us for our own benefit, just understand and use it naturally. On this day, each hotel can make a tree planting event involving the Guest in this ceremony. If it is possible set up your own organic farm in the premises if you have the space for it and involve the Guest in spreading the seeds, or participate in a harvest, take photos for this event and share it in the social media. Always keep the participating Guest updated with the growing stages of the farm.
JAZ INTO THE WILD
Through our initiative, Jaz Into The Wild, we aim to protect and look after the local wildlife through TNR campaigns, vaccination campaigns, endangered species awareness programs, migratory bird projects, and many other measures. With our partners, we organize regular underwater clean-ups for our house reefs and marine life, provide shelters, and conduct sessions to educate our teams and guests on how to take care of our biome.
