Hurghada, Egypt — June 21, 2025
As part of its ongoing commitment to sustainable tourism and environmental stewardship, JAZ Hotel Group (JHG) proudly participated in the HEPCA Mega Clean–up Campaign held on June 21st at Felfela Public Beach, Hurghada.
JAZ Hotel Group, a long–standing partner of HEPCA and a pioneer in sustainable hospitality practices, recognizes the vital importance of preserving Egypt’s marine ecosystems, especially the treasures of the Red Sea. This collaboration underscores the Group’s unwavering dedication to marine conservation and community engagement.
In partnership with students from the British School in Sharm El Sheikh, King Salman International University, local NGOs, environmental advocates, and creative sustainability groups, JAZ Hotel Group helped shape an unforgettable learning journey to inspire climate-conscious action.
The Felfela Bay serves as a natural trap for marine waste, particularly plastics and pollutants, which pose a significant threat to the Great Fringing Reef—one of the Red Sea’s most vibrant and delicate ecosystems. Without frequent interventions, this waste endangers marine life, including turtles, dolphins, and coral reefs.
“This is more than just a clean–up; it’s a stand for the future of the Red Sea,” stated a JHG spokesperson. “As a leader in sustainable tourism, we believe that protecting natural habitats is a shared responsibility, and we are proud to be part of this vital mission.”
Through initiatives like this, JHG continues to champion environmental action, working alongside key partners to safeguard the natural beauty of Egypt’s coastal destinations for generations to come.
